As a Digital Marketing Manager, you will support the Head of Digital Marketing with the digital acquisition strategy and its implementation for TTS in the UK and Internationally. The primary focus is planning, managing and executing email CRM activity and ensuring the brand consistency across all digital touchpoints, including off site digital ads and on site campaigns. The role will include management of digital marketing initiatives, such as landing pages and customer journeys, especially when those journeys start from the acquisition channels.
We are seeking an experienced Digital Marketing Manager, to join a team of Digital Acquisition, Performance and Merchandising Managers operating within a wider marketing team in the UK and international colleagues, based in India.
You will play a pivotal role in managing and optimising the global email marketing strategy for TTS – driving customer acquisition, engagement, retention and order intake revenue.
Responsibilities
Planning & Strategy
- Plan and execute the email marketing acquisition and CRM strategies in line with the overall digital strategy.
- Closely monitor direct competitors and leading ecommerce brands outside of our sector to provide recommendations to ensure that our email marketing strategy and tactics are best-in-class.
Email Channel
- Develop and manage comprehensive email marketing campaigns with a focus on customer acquisition, engagement and driving order intake.
- Create and manage a comprehensive monthly email schedule ensuring all teams have visibility and understanding of email and CRM activity.
- Develop and manager CRM email journeys with a focus on building loyalty, growing share of wallet and addressing disengagement.
- Collaborate with the wider marketing, merchandising, brand, international and creative teams to create integrated multi-channel campaigns.
- Work closely with the Digital Acquisition team in India, ensuring seamless communications, efficient workflows, and alignment of strategies across time zones.
- Employ data-driven approaches to optimise email marketing performance, ensuring all campaigns are continuously tested, measured, and improved upon.
- Utilise segmentation strategies to deliver targeted and personalised email content to different customer groups.
- Manage all aspects of email marketing production, from campaign ideation and design, to execution and analysis.
- Undertake copywriting and visual design responsibilities to create engaging and effective email content that aligns with brand guidelines and resonates with our target audience.
- Implement email automation strategies to improve efficiency and effectiveness of email marketing campaigns.
- Work across the business to develop and optimise email customer touchpoints outside of marketing emails (e.g. system-generated email communications).
- Keep abreast of the latest email marketing trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure the company maintains a competitive edge.
- Maintain a clear understanding of our business objectives and customer personas to ensure all email marketing efforts are aligned with business goals.
- Conduct regular competitor analysis to gain insights into their email marketing strategies.
- Ensure all email marketing activities adhere to GDPR and other relevant legislation.
- Provide detailed channel reporting and campaign analysis on email marketing performance with insights on how to continuously improve.
Wider Digital Elements:
- Work with the trading/ merchandising team to support and initiate onsite digital campaigns, optimisations and updates.
- Ensure brand consistency across all digital touchpoints, including off site digital ads and on site campaigns.
- Work with the content team in ideation and management of content marketing and competitions designed to increase brand awareness, improve consideration, drive awareness, traffic and conversions.
- Work with creative team on the creation of digital acquisition assets to drive engagement and transactional revenue.
- Work closely with RM IT and digital dev team on internal system and integration improvement projects.
- Support the international marketing team by owning the email marketing digital acquisition strategy across the relevant channels.
- As the subject matter expert, where and when applicable, train the relevant users on the latest email marketing developments and system changes.
Reporting & Analytics:
- Develop, refine and deliver regular reporting, identifying and influencing the correct metrics.
- Create and distribute reports with insight to monitor and highlight issues suitable for the receiving audience.
Experience
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent), preferably in a marketing, digital, analytical, business or IT-related subject. Certifications in email marketing would be advantageous.
- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role, with a particular focus on organic search and email marketing.
- Experience of working with GA4, Google Search Console and other SEO tools (e.g. Ahrefs, SEMrush)
- Proficiency with email marketing software (e.g. Dotdigital, Mailchimp, Constant Contact, HubSpot)
- Comfortable managing content production, whether internally or using external suppliers.
- Excellent understanding of email marketing concepts and metrics such as sender score, deliverability, and sender reputation.
- Strong analytical skills, with a track record of making data-driven decisions and interpreting data
- Experience with A/B testing and email optimisation for higher conversion rates.
- Exceptional copywriting skills, with an ability to create engaging and persuasive content.
- Creative flair and ability to produce strong creative and visual email elements using online design tools (e.g. Canva) and familiarity with HTML and CSS for email design.
- Proficient in the use of CRM systems, databases and marketing automation tools.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Self-motivated, ability to use initiative and manage/prioritise their own workload efficiently with a can-do attitude.
- Able to work confidently with colleagues as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver projects on time, at the right quality and on budget in a fast-paced environment.
