The Construction Industry Council is a partner in ConstructionSkills, the Sector Skills Council (SSC) for Construction, along with CITB-ConstructionSkills and CITB-ConstructionSkills Northern Ireland. Our aim is to work in conjunction with ConstructionSkills partners and other Built Environment SSCs, engaging the sector’s professional community, education and training providers and liasing with Government and regulators, to acheive the agreed common skills objectives of the SSC. The Construction Industry Council has particular responsibility for addressing the skills needs of  Professional, Managerial and Techincal roles within construction and the built environment in order to enhance and optimise the business performance and effectiveness of the sector.
