Christmas is an incredibly exciting time to work in retail, with people shopping to find the perfect gift for that special someone, or to treat themselves.

The Perfume Shop’s (TPS) “ScentQuarters” and Stores are already alive with the buzz of the festive season and we’re looking for friendly individuals, who love connecting with people, to deliver a Christmas that’s out of this world for customers.

TPS is the UK’s largest specialist fragrance retailer – established in 1992, so this year is even more special as we’re celebrating our 30th birthday! We’re known for selling the perfume brands you like at prices you love, but our expert team of Perfume People is the key ingredient in our success story.

A highly seasonal business, we hire around 900 Christmas Sales Assistants to deliver exceptional service to our millions of customers… could you be one of them or do you know someone?

We’re looking for temporary Christmas Sales Assistants to join our store teams across the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland, with our biggest intake cities being Sheffield, Edinburgh, Trafford, London, and Birmingham.

A typical day in a Perfume Shop store includes making customers feel welcome and helping them to find their perfect scent, as well as gift wrapping purchases and adding personal touches including personalised ribbon, taking payments and making sure stores look as incredible as possible.

We’re looking for passionate and friendly people who can connect with our customers and make fabulous fragrance recommendations. All new starters this Christmas will get access to our online learning platform “Discover”, with a tailored TPS curriculum to help each starter become a perfume expert. There will be weekly classes running through the fundamentals of fragrance and perfume selling – including new perfumes, bestsellers, popular classics, genderless scents and more!  Plus, hundreds of optional learning modules covering product knowledge, soft skills, and wellbeing. You’ll also get the chance to win perfume prizes by completing modules.
