Tell us about your career at NEX!
I started in the eFX distribution team at EBS Direct, based in New York. It was a great first step into the world of foreign exchange, trading, and international business. I was then promoted to team lead for Commonwealth and Scandinavian currencies, and moved to London. I’m now a money market sales executive, with responsibility to build our European business.
What attracted you to NEX?
First, the opportunity. I wanted to be part of a start-up and learn how to build a business from scratch. While NEX is a mature business, EBS Direct was a new initiative. Being under the umbrella of a well-branded organisation gave EBS Direct leverage and support.
Secondly, the people. My manager’s enthusiasm made it an easy decision to work for her. I saw that same energy and commitment throughout the team and knew this was a group I’d want to learn from and grow with.
What do you enjoy most about working for NEX?
The opportunity to make an impact. Even during my early days I had access to senior management, who are open to new ideas. Also, the ability to help shape the culture of our organisation by being a part of the NEX Women Community.

Tell us about your career at NEX
I joined NEX in 2015 after university. I started in project management, implementing Traiana’s ETD ClientLink solution to buy-side and sell-side firms. After learning the ins and outs of the services Traiana provides, I joined the sales team. I enjoy the sales atmosphere and get great exposure to all NEX services, as well as senior management.
What attracted you to NEX?
The investment in technology and the desire to adapt and stay ahead of market trends. I was also drawn to the rapid growth of NEX Optimisation. At a time of massive change in the financial services industry, the company was seizing the opportunities created.
What do you enjoy most about working for NEX?
The optimism and positivity. The buzz surrounding the potential NEX has when combining all its services can provide a powerful and unique solution to clients – I really feel like I am part of something big. The 4pm Friday beer trolley is a nice perk too!
