We are recruiting for a Partnership Development Manager (PDM) for an established FTSE 100 Wealth Management company, St. James's Place Wealth Management (SJP), based in Holborn, London. Role overview. The Partnership Development Manager (PDM) provides the primary point of contact between Partners and Advisers who have recently transitioned into the organisation as well as supporting the more established Partners and Advisers. As such it is a significant role in our relationship with members of the Partnership, placing key responsibility on the PDM to ensure that Partners and Advisers carry out their activities representing SJP in an appropriate manner and maximise business potential. The PDM undertakes the regulatory responsibility of 'Nominated Supervisor' for their team, and is accountable for the activity and behaviours of those within it. They will ensure that the Partner or Adviser is competent in their client dealings, and will assist them in maximising their business potential and to support achievements of corporate growth. The primary task of the PDM is to work with their Partners and Advisers individually to agree a way of working together including supporting them through the sharing of best practice, skills and knowledge development, client / case reviews, joint meetings with clients, highlighting potential opportunities for Partners to work together and the introduction of various appropriate resources for operational use / support. The successful candidate shall be Level 4 & CF30 qualified, with experience in business planning, coaching & development and dealing with self-employed people. They will have the experience and natural gravitas to support a number of individuals at different levels, and within varying positions within their career within Wealth Management. Role Content. Monitor and enhances the quality of advice provided by the St. James's Place Partnership. Responsible for managing the output and performance of the Partnership in line with our values. Actively seeks information and understanding of a Partner's or Adviser's business. Takes responsibility for acquiring information. Implements and maintains SJP systems to ensure that Partners and Advisers meet with the FCA's objectives and the principles of good regulation. Ensures that Partners and Advisers develop the knowledge and skills necessary to write, document and submit business within SJP guidelines and to required standards. Keeps the Head of Business and Business Risk Manager up to date on key matters and risks that involve the Partner's or Adviser's business. As and when required, undertakes National, Area and Location projects at the request of the Head of Business, Transition Director or the Partnership Directors. Required Skills. Required to hold QCF Level 4 qualification e.g. the CII Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning or at least be very close. Strong understanding of current FCA regulations. Able to communicate at all levels. Good analytical and decision-making skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Service oriented approach. Ability to provide constructive feedback and coaching. Good level of computer literacy – including Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook. Additional information.
