Spire Wellesley has an exciting opportunity for an Orthopaedic Team Lead RGN / ODP, to join our experienced and dynamic team. Working with a wide variety of specialisms you will be able to develop your clinical skills in a modern and supportive environment.

The Wellesley has 3 Theatres (2 laminar flow) and an endoscopy unit, a 33 bedded Surgical Ward covering a wide variety of specialties including Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, General Surgery, Vascular, Plastics, Gynae, Ophthalmology, Spinal, Urology and ENT. We have had a recent Theatre refurbishment to further upgrade our theatre environment and bringing cutting edge technology to our hospital.Duties and responsibilities

To provide exemplary planned care for patients requiring perioperative intervention supporting the management and organisation of care provision in the operating theatre, taking on the roles of a surgical first assistant and dual role.

To assist the perioperative managers to deliver effective patient care by providing appropriate clinical support assisting the theatre manager to effectively maximise theatre utilisation.

Who we are looking for

Ideally you will be a Registered Nurse/Operating Department Practitioner with Orthopaedic and Scrub experience, be used to leading and managing a team with minimum supervision. Competent across a range of skills, supported by professional and clinical knowledge acquired through a practitioner qualification, Mentorship qualification is also required and Surgical First Assistant is desirable.
