The centre is a community. hub and tourist attraction for visitors, providing exhibitions and. interpretation about the fascinating local industrial heritage. Assistant Catering Manager – Heritage Centre. Salary: Circa £16,380 per annum (dependent on experience. Base: Land of Oak and Iron Heritage Centre, Winlaton Mill. Gateshead. Hours: 35 hours per week. The post will require weekend working and. some evenings. The Assistant Catering Manager will be involved with the daily running. of catering services and with supervising staff to ensure standards. are consistently met, driving achievement of the highest levels of. visitor satisfaction. You will be innovative and creative, with proven experience of food. preparation and customer service in a fast paced environment using. local produce. Along with proven people management skills you will be. an excellent communicator who is open, honest and acts with integrity. You will ideally hold a city and guilds (catering) and advanced food. hygiene qualifications and have a good understanding of food hygiene. and Health & Safety processes.
