By J&C Team

ubu is a specialist Health and Social Care support provider. We offer help and support to people with learning or physical disabilities, as well as people who may have social and/or behavioural difficulties which make it hard for them to find their place in everyday life.

We believe that everyone, whatever their ability and background can achieve great things. As such we work to ensure that vulnerable people are given the correct opportunities to enjoy a full and active lifestyle.

ubu provide as much or as little specialised support as the people we serve need. This can encompass managing behaviour, gaining life skills, gaining qualifications and building relationships. We also work closely with family members and significant friends to assess and communicate all that we do.

If you treat a person as they are, they will remain as they are. Treat a person as they could be and they will become what they should be.

Supporting Our Vulnerable People

Everyone, whatever their ability and background, has the right to belong to the community, and to have the opportunities to achieve what they want. However, some people, through no fault of their own, need a bit of help to find their place in society. This is where ubu gets involved. ubu provides community-based, specialised social care and support to people with particular needs, including physical, emotional, learning, behavioural, psychological and social difficulties. ubu believes that everyone should be accepted on equal terms, and that they should be able to live their life as they wish, encouraging people to make their own decisions and choices – with gentle guidance as necessary – just like the rest of society.

Individual control and choice is at the heart of what ubu does. The result? People gain independence, freedom, self-esteem, a sense of self and control over their lives. They move from being on the outside to finding their place within society.

Why work with ubu?
