Job Title: Support Workers

Hours: Full & Part Time Available

Location: Goole & Rawcliffe, East Riding of Yorkshire

Salary: £13,500 per annum (pro rata for part time staff)

Who we are looking for

Are you looking for an exciting challenge to help improve someone’s life? We are looking for highly motivated and confident staff to join our established team providing full-time support to adults with Autism. As a Support Worker you will be required to work with a number of people at their home as well as in a range of community settings, carrying out various activities – walking, swimming, shopping, etc, and ensuring the highest standards of professional support to enable individuals to experience life opportunities and develop greater independence.

 

Experience isn’t essential but you must have a flexible attitude, be able to work as part of a team, have enthusiasm, commitment and a desire to make a difference. Supporting people who have autism you will be helping individual’s to develop living skills and assist them to engage in a wide range of social activities as well as communicating with outside agencies, therefore a flexible communication approach is needed . An extensive induction/training programme is provided.

 

Successful applicants are required to undertake an enhanced DBS disclosure which will also include a check against the Barred Lists. Disclosure expense will be met by the National Autistic Society.
