We have a large team who work on the care and education side, providing residential and classroom support, but our office support functions are equally important to the smooth running of National Star and all of its services.

As Human Resources Administrator you will have a key role to play in the HR team with day to day responsibility for recruitment administration, contracts of employment, pre-employee checks, and other generalist administrative functions. You will be also be responsible for updating the HR systems, and will act as the first point of contact for any queries.

This is a busy and varied role and the successful candidate will have excellent administration skills, be able to plan and prioritise and be a competent user of IT systems including databases. Previous HR or recruitment experience is desirable, as are good interpersonal skills.

You will have a positive attitude towards the aspirations of young people with disabilities, as well as be able to show that you are professional, hardworking and enthusiastic about the care sector. Successful candidates will be motivated and able to use their initiative. As a CQC Outstanding and Ofsted Outstanding organisation, we have very high standards and we will expect you to work within these.


When you start, you will attend selected sessions within a 2 week induction course. These will cover topics specific to working in an organisation like National Star and will give you a chance to get to know new starters on the Care and Education side, as well. Our in-house training team has been awarded the Princess Royal Training Award and will support you as you become familiar with your role. This is mandatory for everyone who joins us, so that we are able to maintain our standards of care and support.

Contract Details

This role is Full Time for a Fixed Term Contract length of 6 months. The need for the role is due to increased work loads, and therefore it is possible that this will be extended for a further period of time.
